Flora
It is rare for me to turn my hand to floral images! In fact it was very much a standing joke during my textiles design that 'Dickie doesn't do Flowers'. But every now and then a project or piece of inspiration will come along and a floral artwork ensues.
I think part of it is because for many years I worked with textile factories and they required a very specific style of floral whereas what you see here is my interpretation and I think it took me a while to give myself permission to do flowers my way.
So here you have a very limited and rarely repeated theme among my work and so I very much suggest you get your hands on them before I have an 'arty crisis' and destroy them all!
